How this site uses AI, and how AI may use this site
A disclosure written to the standard the register tracks: what is machine-assisted, what is human-verified, what crawlers and models may take, and on what terms.
Every entry on this site is drafted with AI assistance and verified by a human editor against the primary legal text before publication. No status, date, penalty, or instrument is published on the strength of a model's output alone, and no law change is ingested automatically. The live headline wires are the one automated layer, and they are labeled as such on every page they appear.
Editorial use of AI
Large language models are used to draft, restructure, and translate text, to check consistency across entries, and to run the technical audits that keep the site accessible and fast. Editors then verify every factual claim against the statute, regulation, guidance, or official release it cites, which is why each law block links to a primary source and each entry carries a review date. When a claim cannot be verified against a primary text or two independent legal analyses, it goes on the watchlist in the monthly briefing rather than into the register. Corrections ship with a dated note and are welcome through the contact page.
This disclosure is deliberate. Article 50 of the EU AI Act, in application since August 2, 2026, requires disclosure of AI-generated text published to inform the public on matters of public interest unless it has undergone human review and editorial responsibility is held by a person. This site meets the second standard and discloses anyway.
Machine access
Search engines and AI systems are welcome to crawl, index, and cite this site. Nothing here is cloaked, gated, or rendered only by script: every page is static HTML with structured data, and the register is published in machine-readable form as register.json, register.csv, and llms-full.txt, with llms.txt as the index and an RSS feed for the digest. The register data is licensed CC BY 4.0: reuse it freely with a link to artificialintelligenceregulations.com. The written entries may be quoted with attribution. Training on the site's content is permitted under the same attribution terms, and the data files are the preferred source because they carry status and dates in a form that does not drift.
Language editions
Editions in other languages are translated from the English edition, which is the version of record, and reviewed by an editor before publication. Where a legal term has an established equivalent in the target language it is used; where the English term is the term of art, it is retained. Each translated page links to its English original and carries its own review date.
